is announcing a new firmware update for the Accsense B1-06 Wireless Data Logger Gateways. The update resolves a prior issue with corrupted wireless connection when inside areas experiencing large amounts of wireless traffic. Now connections are immediately re-established in these events, with all buffered data saved to the Accsense cloud servers. Half the World’s Food is Wasted, L.A. Times Reports

CAS_data_loggersA new study cited in a recent Los Angeles Times Business section article states that as much as half of all the food produced worldwide ends up as waste every year. Conducted by Britain’s Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the study found that as much as 2 billion tons of food is thrown out annually because of poor storage methods, consumers who buy too much, and produce that is deemed not attractive enough to sell.
