CHESTERLAND OH—November 1, 2011

CAS DataLoggers has partnered with Grant Instruments to introduce the new Grant Squirrel SQ2020 WiFi Portable Universal Input Data Logger, a wireless portable logging solution capable of precise measurements and offering the versatility to measure several different values including temperature and current. This 8/16 channel datalogger with high-speed logging rates of 100Hz features highly accurate 24-bit analog to digital converters, removable memory and Wi-Fi wireless Ethernet networking. The SQ2020 WiFi is the ideal data logger for wireless applications in industrial fields, scientific research and quality assurance. Together with the SquirrelView comprehensive software suite, the new Squirrel logger provides standalone data acquisition, simple Wi-Fi networking, real-time metering and data analysis straight out of the box.

The SQ2020 WiFi dataloggers combine high performance and universal inputs with the simplicity of Wi-Fi networking in a compact and easy-to-use handheld instrument. The logger features 8 to 16 universal analog inputs and supports many analog inputs including thermistors, thermocouples (types B, C, D), Pt100/Pt1000 (maximum of four 3 or 4-wire Pt100/1000 sensors), voltage, current and resistance. The data logger also offers 2 high voltage, 4 pulse rate/counter inputs and 8 digital event/state inputs with measurements made at a high precision (0.05%). 4 alarm outputs serve to trigger external devices to immediately notify personnel whenever measurements go out of specification, and the logger also offers sensor power and FET outputs for use with external devices.

Fully configurable via the integrated keypad, the SQ2020 WiFi logger has an easy to read 128*97 dot graphical LCD display and simple 4-button user interface. The device’s large non-volatile internal memory stores up to 14 million readings, and the Squirrel logger supports download of internal data to a removable MMC/SD (Multi Media Card/Secure Digital) memory. World-renowned for their ruggedness and reliability, Squirrel dataloggers excel as battery-powered portable solutions, allowing them to be used in applications requiring portability and stand-alone operation. Additionally, the SQ2020 WiFi dataloggers offer flexible communications options including integral Wi-Fi Ethernet networking, USB, and RS232 connectivity.

Every new Grant Squirrel datalogger also includes the FREE SquirrelView universal software package, utilizing an intuitive, user-friendly, spreadsheet style interface enabling quick set-up of the data logger for any application, speedy data downloads and direct export to Excel™. SquirrelView Plus offers users even more benefits such as graphical data analysis and advanced reporting options. Taking advantage of Squirrelview’s streamlined interface, users are able to easily reconfigure the Squirrel loggers to do a wide range of jobs in a variety of different environments. The loggers can be configured via integral interface or via PC.
